Cathay Pacific Airways has placed a $25m order with Unisys Corp to upgrade its operations computers: the 1100/92 and 2200/632 mainframes will replace a four-processor Unisys 1100/94 in reservations, and a 2200/401 mainframe and two 2200/402 dual-processors will be used in the company’s internal message system; the mainframes will be linked by three DCP 50 communications processors which will also provide a link with Abacus, the Far East regional shared central reservations system.
