Looks as if Computer Associates International Inc is having second thoughts about carrying on with future versions of the OpenIngres database for ICL Plc’s venerable VME mainframe operating system, an environment where Ingres has been traditionally strong. Those in the know at the CA World event in New Orleans this week would only say that negotiations were continuing.
