Linamar will initially implement IFS’ automotive platform at over 20 of its manufacturing plants in Guelph, Ontario, with plans to extend the system to new sites in Germany, China and Korea.
IFS said its automotive platform includes supply chain management, financials, maintenance, engineering, quality management and workforce management applications. It also includes an integrated electronic data interchange (EDI) application and a bar coding and labeling tool from Michigan-based Bar Code Solutions.
Linamar delivers component-based services for dealer and supply chain to large vehicle manufacturers such as Daimler-Chrysler, Volvo Cars, Toyota, Land
Rover, Scania, Volvo Trucks, Isuzu and John Deere.
