CALCOMP’S COLORMASTER PLUS PS DEVICES ARE THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTERS THAT COST JUST UNDER $7,000

Phoenix Technologies Ltd has announced that Anaheim, California-based CalComp Inc has licensed the PhoenixPage colour PostScript language-compatible interpreter and RISC-based Stampede controller design for its line of ColorMaster Plus PS printers: CalComp’s ColorMaster Plus PS devices are thermal transfer printers that cost just under $7,000; they are available in both letter-size and tabloid-size versions, and they support printing via RS-232 serial, Centronics parallel, AppleTalk and SCSI ports.
