Cablevision Systems Inc has chosen Asynchronous Transfer Mode switches and television set-top boxes from AT&T Corp, and video servers from Silicon Graphics Inc in its programme to modernise its cable television operations, the Wall Street Journal reported: Cablevision plans to offer movies on demand and pay-per-view television as a standard services beginning from mid-1995.
