Cabletron Systems Inc of Rochester, New Hampshire has signed agreements that will allow it to resell BMC Software Inc’s Patrol and Metrix Inc’s WinWatch software products. Patrol offers application and database management for networks, while WinWatch brings desktop management to Cabletron’s Spectrum systems management suite. PatrolView for Spectrum will be available later this quarter, priced at $2,500 per management console, and the list price for the WinWatch Management module for SpectroServer will be $8,000, and for SpectroGraph, $3,000, Cabletron says.
