Cable & Wireless Plc intends to buy large a stake as is on offer in Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp’s NTT Personal Communications Network Inc, the business formed to operate the Personal Handy Phone super-Telepoint system in Japan. The company is divided into nine regional units and is owned 70% by Nippon Telegraph and 30% by NTT Mobile Communications Network Inc. All the regional companies are planning to boost their capital through third-party allocations in April.
