Computer Associates International Inc has named Tandem Computers Inc as a Unicenter Preferred Service Provider for all Tandem systems worldwide, including NonStop Himalaya servers, Windows NT-based systems and Unix servers in the banking, finance, retail and telecommunications industries. Under the agreement, Tandem can also resell the CA Unicenter systems management product line. Computer Associates chose Tandem as its first development partner for CA-Unicenter last year and the two agreed to work together on high-availability and fault tolerant extensions to Unicenter in multiplatform environments (CI No 2,986).
