Another UK games software developer has been snapped up from abroad – Electronic Arts Inc has definitive agreement to acquire Bullfrog Productions Ltd, the Guildford, Surrey developer of interactive games; financial details were not disclosed. The 45-employee Bullfrog has been in alliance with Electronic Arts for seven years and claims to be Europe’s top CD-ROM software developer with six consecutive number one hits, the most recent of which are Theme Park and Magic Carpet. The firm specialises in including a multi-player mode in its games.
