Groupe Bull’s new Intel 80486-based DPX/ProStation workstations (CI No 1,595), come bundled with the Informix Wingz spreadsheet, Frame Technology’s FrameMaker publishing software and Santa Cruz Operation’s Open Desktop. Using 25MHz versions of the part, they come in both Micro Channel and EISA bus architectures. The 25i, with up to 32Mb RAM, has a single Micro Channel slot, the 25e, with up to 64Mb memory comes with two EISA slots. Each system has 213Mb disk and a 3.5 floppy drive. Prices for the 25i start at $13,000, and for the 25e at $14,000.
