Btrieve Technologies Inc, Austin, Texas, the firm formed for the purpose, has completed acquisition of Novell Inc’s database line, taking Btrieve, NetWare SQL, XQL and Xtrieve Plus, with immediate transfer of all development, support and marketing rights for the Btrieve database line. Novell retains a stake in Btrieve, and bundles the database software products with NetWare and future products. NetWare SQL and related products remain on its price list; terms were not disclosed.
