The issue of Minitels for Prestel has surfaced yet again, and British Telecommunications Plc yesterday repeated that it is considering the cheap French public database terminals, but has now come out firmly against the idea of giving the things away free to subscribers as France Telecom does, saying they are much too expensive for that.
