Sale price for the British Technology Group – Plc presumably now – to the management buyout team was set at UKP27.75m, with further payments possible under profit sharing and property clawback arrangements over the next five years; apart from management, the buying consortium includes the Coal Board Pension Fund’s CIN Ventures, County NatWest Ventures, Advent Venture Capital, Royal Insurance Plc, Lloyds Development Capital, Grosvenor Venture Managers, Kleinwort Benson Development Capital, Commercial Union Plc, Candover Investments Ltd, Anvar SA of France, the Committee of Vice Chancellors & Principals on behalf of several universities, and the Nuffield Foundation; an employee share trust will hold 26%, no other investor will have more than 15%.
