Bridge Communications Inc has won a $5m OEM contract with Rockwell International’s factory automation company Allen-Bradley Co of Ann Arbor, Michigan over a period of two and a half years. Bridge Communications of Mountain View, California will supply baseband local area network products to Allen-Bradley, and numerous Bridge products are covered under the agreement including its LanSwitch, a 64-port communication server, as well as its IVECS computer backplane interface. These products connect to Allen-Bradley’s communications products by adding a link between the company’s factory floor control systems to the technical office and manufacturing management areas. Allen-Bradley will also collaborate with Bridge to develop products comaptible with the ISO Open Systems Interconnection standards the near future.
