Atos company blueKiwi has released its new SaaS enterprise social software blueKiwi ZEN, that claimed to transform social networking by enabling organisations of all sizes to communicate and collaborate, organise, process and share information.

blueKiwi ZEN is claimed to provide enhanced communication, collaboration and information processing capabilities by offering improved simplicity, functionality and performance.

ZEN enables employees to collaborate effectively, focus on what’s important, mobilise the right individuals and stay on top of their projects and workload. It also helps users filter and prioritise information and take decisive action, the company said.

The new release includes a recommendation engine that leverages both social and interest graph to suggest new connections between people, communities and documents.

With blueKiwi ZEN, social capabilities can be integrated into the existing IT infrastructure, application landscape, enterprise portals and business applications.

The latest release include a new drag-and-drop user interface, smart previewing capabilities with one click, a separate notification stream, stronger publication versioning, advanced collaborative notes, @mention and hashtags, superfast auto-suggestions, search and likes.

It also includes a full-fledged recommendation engine, Microsoft Office and Outlook add-ins, new native mobile applications for iOS, Android and BlackBerry, and a new set of API’s.

blueKiwi CEO JL Valente said the new ZEN will help the company to bring enterprise social software to the mainstream and turn it into a business-critical application.

"We’ve specifically designed it to become the social hub of the workplace where email is out and collaborative activities get done," Valente said.

Atos will internally roll-out blueKiwi ZEN as a key technology component to support its internal Zero Email initiative, the global programme to transform Atos into a better social organisation.

blueKiwi is expected to be available in three editions, including Professional, Premium, and Enterprise.
