It looks as if Bluebird Software Plc, in administrative receivership since last Thursday (CI No 1,733), is to be broken up rather than sold in its entirety: the administrator, Touche Ross, has advertised the company’s software products which include packages for the public sector – presumably IBM Corp’s poll tax software, for distribution and financial, and retail packages; also, Bluebird was the sole agent for Pansophic Systems Inc’s manufacturing and distribution software, PRMS, and Pansophic says that it will honour Bluebird’s support contracts, and customers are eligible to use its technical help-line.
