BEST or Belgian Electronic Sorting Technology, engaged in manufacturing, selling and installing sorting machinery for the food and non-food industry, has selected solutions from Verizon Business to optimize the productivity of its mobile workers, whether they are on the road, in the office or at home.

According to Verizon Business, the BEST global network is built on MPLS-based Verizon Private IP, which provides secure, dedicated connectivity between the company’s offices in Belgium, the Netherlands and the US, with Hong Kong access planned for the near future. BEST mobile users are routed to the corporate network via Verizon Secure Gateway, using Verizon Enterprise Mobility.

This includes globally available internet access, with more than 85,000 hot spots among the options available to users, and advanced end-user client software, which BEST can administer centrally to ensure that all communications to the corporate network comply with BEST’s security policies.

Paul Berghmans, co-founder and chief information officer of BEST, said: With Verizon Enterprise Mobility, our remote and mobile workers have multiple options to securely connect to the corporate network, using secure, high-speed Internet connections and a user-friendly client installed on their mobile device. Ultimately, this enables us to focus on our customers wherever we are in the world – and in today’s business environment, that customer focus is absolutely key to business success.
