BellSouth Corp’s BellSouth Cellular Corp duly unveiled the IBM Corp-designed Simon, and described it as its first entry into the handheld personal communicator market. It will start at under $1,000, with initial deliveries to be made in Orlando, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville and Melbourne, Florida next month, in other BellSouth Cellular markets by March, going US-wide by April.
