Bay Networks Inc has enhanced its Banyan Vines protocol suite to include support for Banyan Vines Sequenced Routing Update Protocol – Sequenced RTP, a routing table update maintenance standard. The protocol will enhance the performance of Vines networks by enabling routers and Vines servers to identify routing information using a sequenced numbering scheme, the company says.
