Autodesk Inc, Sausalito, California has acquired Sirlin Corp on undisclosed terms, and simultaneously launched AutoCAD VQ, developed Serlin, which is designed to enable non-technical users to query and view AutoCAD drawing files. It also incorporates AutoCAD Data Extension 1.0 which supports complex querying and red-lining of AutoCAD, and software developers can enhance their applications by embedding the viewing feature into new programs.
