AT&T Co has landed just the kind of computer contract it is looking for these days – $92m over 10 years from the US Navy for a network to link 14 facilities in the San Francisco Bay area: the contract involves installation of System 85 digital PABXs, 3B computers, fibre optic cabling and microwave radio links and administrative software.
