Every little job helps, and AT&T Corp says it will add 500 full- time jobs for account representatives at its customer service and regional billing center in Mesa, Arizona, which chases up its residential customers: in January. The company said it would cut 40,000 jobs (CI No 2,821). More than 75% of the new jobs are expected to be filled from outside AT&T, although it said that first priority would be given to qualified internal candidates. AT&T now has 3,950 employees in Arizona.
