AT&T Corp announced its third bundling deal in five days on Friday, with the news that Infoseek Corp has signed a three-year agreement with the company to create an Infoseek branded version of AT&T WorldNet internet access package. It is called, predictably enough, Infoseek Online powered by AT&T WorldNet Service. The deal is practically identical to the ones signed with Excite on Wednesday and the Lycos last Monday. AT&T is also developing various internet applications that will be available only to subscribers, such as internet chat and click-to-dial directories. In return Infoseek will feature AT&T services on its site, such as the company’s One Rate Online, wireless and WorldNet services. AT&T is making up for lost time. It was beaten in the race to snap up portals by rival MCI Communications Corp, which nabbed the big one, Yahoo! Inc back in March, with a Yahoo!-branded MCI internet access service.
