The new contact center will provide technical support to Atos’s Asia-Pacific customer base, and will cover areas including infrastructure and applications management, and network and server monitoring and management. Atos already operates similar centers in the US, Brazil, the Netherlands, the UK, France, and Poland.

In the future, Paris, France-based Atos plans to build up its Malaysian base to include a business process outsourcing center handling fleet card management.

In other news, Atos announced that it has won a five-year contract with Bouygues Telecom to manage all of the company’s desktops. The deal is estimated to include approximately 10,000 workstations, 450 servers, and 580 printers located at 24 sites across France. The contract came into effect on May 1.
