ASM Lithography NV (ASML), the Dutch chip fab equipment maker, has set up a US Technology Center (USTD) at Arizona State University Research Park facility in Tempe. It will focus on optimal processing approaches for IC design rules that will be required one or two generations into the future. The center will back ASML’s investigations of future technologies such as extreme UV, electron beam and ion-beam lithography.
