Financially troubled local area networking company Artisoft Inc has lost its chairman and chief executive officer, William C. Keiper, who has resigned. Artisoft set a major restructuring process in place last July, axing nearly half of its 270 staff. The company’s board has appointed Jerry E Goldress, chief executive of corporate turnaround specialist Grisanti, Galef and Goldress Inc to fill his shoes, while Keiper’s board seat goes to Artisoft’s president and chief operating officer T. Paul Thomas. Artisoft is best known for its LANtastic network operating system.
