Apple Computer Inc’s first RISC-driven printer, the Personal LaserWriter NTR, should be introduced this month according to Microbytes: it will replace the Personal LaserWriter NT will cost about $300 less than the NT at $2,300; it is equipped with an Am29005 RISC processor, a four page-per-minute Canon LX print engine, and Level 2 PostScript; it will come with 64 built-in PostScript and TrueType fonts, Centronics parallel, LocalTalk, and RS-232 ports, all of which can be active simultaneously; an upgrade for NT and Personal LaserWriter SC owners will be available at $1,000.
