Apple Computer Inc is responding to the threat to its hold on the hearts and minds of America’s schools from IBM’s new PS/2 Model 25 286 – which costs under $1,400 to schools against $2,300 for the rest of us – by promising that the low-cost colour Macintosh will be out during the 1990-91 school year and will run Apple II programs.
