Apple Computer Inc has cut US retail prices on the Macintosh Portable and the 1Mb Memory Expansion Kit for the machine: the CPU falls 17.2% to $4,800, the hard disk version is off 15.3% at $5,500 and the memory kit 23.1% at $500.
