US-based electronics giant Apple is reportedly developing a new iPhone with a curved screen.
The new smartphone is reported to have a bigger screen with improved sensors that can detect different levels of pressure, according to a report from Bloomberg.
With the move, the electronics giant will likely join the league of companies developing curved phones including Samsung and LG.
The curved phone from apple is expected to be available in two variants featuring screen sizes of 4.7-inches and 5.5-inches, bigger than Apple’s currently available iPhones.
Apple’s curved phones are expected to be available from the third quarter of 2014.
Earlier this month, Apple had unveiled its plans to open a new manufacturing plant in Arizona in partnership with mineral crystal specialist GT Advanced Technologies.
