Commenting on its figures (page five), Advanced Micro Devices Inc warns that sales of its Am486 microprocessors will probably decline in the third quarter as it experiences continuing price erosion in the market and it reaches maximum capacity at its Sunnyvale facility, but if present market conditions continue, it sees continued growth in its non-microprocessor business in the second half; in the second quarter non-microprocessor business grew, microprocessor sales remained at record levels, with record sales of embedded processors and networking products, and strong growth in its Flash and EPROM memories chips.
