Advanced Micro Devices warns that exhaustive compatibility testing of Am486SX microprocessors revealed a microcode bug that could produce an error when the user attempts to load some operating systems with Santa Cruz Operation Inc Open DeskTop Unix version 3.0 already running: no product recalls are planned and the affected parts will be supplied only to customers where the bug will not cause problems; good parts will be out in 90 days.
