Camarillo, California-based Alpharel Inc, completed its near $10.7m acquisition of fellow document image processor Optigraphics Inc, paying $4.4m in cash, 2.27m Alpharel shares, and notes for $1.8m; Alpharel plans to restructure and cut $2.0m annually from expenses, but leave a new organisation nearly twice the size of the old, it said.
