Alpha Microsystems Inc has seen off a challenge to its board from Alphabet Technologies Inc, a dissident German-managed holder of 22% of the shares, with two nominees already on the company’s board. Its nominees for two more seats were defeated. Alphabet is a is a holding company whose management has current and prior affiliations with two small German technology companies it says badly need Alpha Micro’s technology, distribution and markets for its own purposes.
