Alcatel NV’s Alcatel Standard Electrica SA has a contract for telephone exchanges to Colombia worth over $226m: the order involves Alcatel 1000 S12 exchanges and point multipoint systems, and will be completed over the next three years, and it is to serve the country’s coffee growing regions of Cauca Medio and Alto Magdalena.
