Under the terms of a new agreement signed between the two firms, South San Francisco-based Actuate will provide reusable reporting services for applications based on the Actuate Enterprise Reporting Application platform as part of the IBM Business Central catalog business services. The SOA foundation is part of its burgeoning WebSphere-branded middleware stack.
Actuate says the services will be particularly applicable for a range of banking technology implementations. Actuate is already an IBM Banking Cluster partner and its reporting software is used extensively by IBM’s banking customers as part of its Banking Front Office solution.
The announcement was made at IBM’s PartnerWorld 2006 conference running in Las Vegas this week.
