Hybrid open source business intelligence firm Actuate announced a new iteration of BIRT Scorecard Exchange, said to be a business-to-business site that grants BIRT performance management practitioners zero cost access to best practices, frameworks, prebuilt measurement criteria and community links.
The firm, which is behind the open source reporting software project BIRT, also announced that it generated $21.2m in BIRT-related business during the course of 2010, bringing the total in the last 4 years to over $62.5m.
2010 BIRT-related license business was up 33% year-over-year, the firm said.
Meanwhile the company explained that the new Scorecard Exchange gives users entrance into the Actuate framework library which contains hundreds of complete business Key Performance Indicator (KPI) frameworks, equating to tens of thousands of unique metrics and performance measures.

"BIRT is set to become Actuate’s dominant product line in terms of new license business generated during the course of 2012," said Cittadini. "ActuateOne, BIRT onDemand, BIRT Mobile and the BIRT Exchange Marketplace continue to gain traction. We are also planning new BIRT related products that leverage Xenos technology, setting the stage for good BIRT license growth in 2011."
