Actelis Networks, a supplier of ethernet over copper solutions, is collaborating with Industrial Video and Control to provide IP-based surveillance and security networks over copper networks.
Industrial Video and Control (IVC) is a manufacturer of IP-based cameras and developer of advanced software for managing networks of video systems. The two vendors have been working closely to develop a single integrated IP-based surveillance system that combines IVC’s IP-based video cameras with Actelis’ ML600 family of intelligent ethernet access devices (EADs).
As part of its ongoing collaboration with Actelis, IVC has developed an IP-based camera. The camera, when paired specifically with Actelis’s ML600 system, is claimed to ease deployment, reduce operational expenditures, and provide more reliable and higher bandwidth broadband transmission over copper networks for advanced video surveillance, according to Actelis.
The joint system is focused on schools, municipalities, shipping ports, oil, petrochemical and pharmaceutical refineries, as well as military bases and other industrial sites where 365x24x7 security through video surveillance is necessary.
