The agreement has the potential for two one-year extensions. Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) will serve as health benefits coordinator for Medicaid Managed Care Programs supporting New Jersey’s Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance (SCHIP) programs. It will also continue to operate the State of New Jersey’s E-ZPass program.

ACS will provide services including screening and processing applications; determining eligibility for the New Jersey FamilyCare program; assessing and collecting premiums; providing outreach, marketing, education, and communication; conducting and maintaining enrollment with managed care organizations; call center operations; and mailroom services.

ACS has previous experience in administering children’s health insurance programs in Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Virginia, and other eligibility programs, such as the Child Care Assistance Program in Connecticut and the Residential Grant Program for the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation in New York.
