The certification was examined by DET NORSKE VERITAS AS (DNV, located in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture) with its headquarter in Norway, and was registered in RAAD Voor Accreditatie (RVA) –the Duch certificatin agency.

The Osaka Works, with its coexisting research division, is engaged in the manufacture of strips and tubes of copper and titanium along with the design and manufacture of various metal products including those of aluminum and steel. Recently, its mainstay product is high-performance heat conducting tube that is indispensable for improving heat efficiency. Thus, the Works is supplying its products to extensive industrial areas such as electric machinery, electric power, construction, air-conditioning, and electronics, whereby it acquired ISO 9001, an international certification for quality management, in 1997.

Whereas the Osaka Works is located near to an urban area, it even more considers environment preservation as the most important initiative for business extension, and has been utilizing the environment management system the Works established at this time in promoting such activities as energy conservation, substitution of toxic substances, reduction and recycling of waste, and maintenance of green belt. We would like to take this opportunity of certification acquisition to promote our initiatives further.
