Acer America Corp introduced six new Pentium-based multimedia personal computers at from under $2,000 – the 60MHz AcerPower 60 system with a 420Mb disk is $1,900 with 8Mb memory, a 16-bit sound board, double-speed CD-ROM, data modem and bundled software; the 90MHz AcerPower with an 810Mb disk, 8Mb 16-bit sound, 14.4Kbps facsimile modem with voice mail capability, double speed CD-ROM and bundled software sells for $2,500 or so, it added.
