Acer America Corp, headquartered in San Jose, California has announced the 1116/SX, a new version of its 1100/SX machine: the 1116/SX has the same design features of the 1100/SX with an 80386SX microprocessor running at 16MHz; it has 1Mb random access memory, expandable to 8Mb on the motherboard, supports industry-standard software like MS-DOS, MS Windows and OS/2, and a 40Mb hard disk version will also be available; The 1116/SX ships this month at $1,500, and the 40Mb hard disk version will sell for $1,800.
