Accenture has signed an agreement to buy the industrial and embedded software development and services business of evopro group based in Budapest, Hungary.
The acquisition will strengthen Accenture’s capability in the industrial software and automation solution.
Accenture senior managing director Eric Schaeffer said the acquisition will strengthen the company’s capabilities in the industrial software solutions market, where it expects increased interest from clients for software development and related IT services.
"It will also strengthen our mobility-based capabilities as we continue to build innovative connected solutions for clients across industries where embedded software is a differentiating capability," Schaeffer added.
evopro group offers services for embedded software used in the industrial and medical equipment, automotive, building, logistics and transportation industries and has operations in Germany, Hungary, Romania and Turkey.
This is company’s third acquisition which it acquired to strengthen its offering to manufacturing clients.
Accenture recently acquired PRION Group and unveiled a plan in October to acquire PCO Innovation, which specialise in the delivery of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) services.
