Rancho Cordova, California-based local networking equipment company 3Net Systems Inc – no connection with the British 3Net Ltd – says it will have to seek bankruptcy protection in the next 48 hours if efforts to raise extra financing remained unsuccessful; it has had to lay off most of its staff and requested suspension of trading in its shares on the NASDAQ Exchange unless and until a definitive pact to raise further funds is in place.
