3Dfx Interactive Inc has signed a distribution deal with Legend Technology Ltd, which it expects to help open up the Chinese market for its graphics products. The deal is good news for the San Jose-based company, which has just posted a $11.6m net loss for its second quarter (see financial section). Legend has one of the largest computer distribution networks in mainland China. 3dfx recently announced Chinese language versions of its family of Voodoo3 boards. Gamers will be able to buy the Voodoo3 2000 and 3000 retail kits with Chinese language drivers, user manuals, and installation CDs through Legend’s distribution network.
