3Com Corp has launched a new version of its EtherLink III LAN+28.8 Modem PC Card, claiming that it offers the fastest 28.8Kbps modem and the best performing Ethernet connection, all in one dual-function PC Card. It includes a new cellular-ready feature, providing mobile personal computer users with dial-up network access through a cellular phone, and costs $520 for the twisted pair version and $570 for the twisted pair-coaxial combined model.
