3Com Corp is to build its first European manufacturing facility, initially to make Ethernet network adaptors, but later able to add the company’s internetworking products. It says it is leaning towards the Irish Republic and a temporary facility for adaptor product testing and packaging will begin operation this November in a Dublin suburb.
