The new deal will enable 365 Corporation’s business services division, Symphony Telecom Limited (Symphony), to accelerate its plans to build a national channel to Irish businesses. Over the past 12 months, Symphony has become one of the largest resellers of Samsung voice and data products in the UK.
This deal complements 365’s acquisition of Valuetel Limited last December. Based in Dublin, Valuetel provides a range of voice and data network services to both the business and consumer market place.
Together with the Valuetel acquisition and Symphony’s existing operation in Cork, the Samsung deal will greatly strengthen Symphony’s Irish operation in terms of both distribution and product offering. Symphony plans to replicate its successful UK strategy of providing a one-stop-shop of telecommunications products and services to SMEs in Ireland, to become one of the leading providers of telecommunication services in Ireland.
David Norton Managing Director of Samsung, said:
We have worked closely with Symphony for a number of years in the UK, and have seen the success of their solutions-based approach reflected in a significant growth in joint business over the past 12 months. We are keen to help Symphony replicate the same success in Ireland, and very much look forward to a long and profitable relationship.
Mark Jones, Managing Director of Symphony, said:
It’s no accident that Symphony and Samsung are working together. We have been planning this association for some time, and with the Valuetel acquisition, our plans for Ireland have been significantly advanced. European expansion is a crucial part of our growth plans for this business, so it is vital that we can demonstrate our ability to successfully roll-out our business plan into Ireland. Partnering with a world-class company such as Samsung will accelerate this roll-out.
