Syncsort, a provider of data integration and data protection software, has released a new data integration software DMExpress 6, which it claims to deliver information from data sets in minimal elapsed time, with minimal resource utilisation and on commodity hardware.
The company said DMExpress helps businesses transform, integrate, and move data without the need for custom coding. It features innovations for target file data compression, and new automation capabilities for job checkpoint and restart, and for event-based scheduling, which improves the efficiency of workflow processing.
According to Syncsort, DMExpress 6 has added support for Teradata’s pushdown optimisation and load customisation capabilities. It integrates with all major data integration platforms from other vendors and includes metadata features for target layout export and run-time statistics to interoperate with customers’ existing data integration platforms.
In addition, it embeds new layout export tools that enable customers to exchange metadata target layouts with their existing data integration and metadata management tools. Run-time statistics also facilitate interoperability by publishing these statistics as an XML document.
New features facilitate web logs and page tag data files to be parsed entirely within DMExpress, and challenging clickstream data transformations can be easily performed, the company said.
Syncsort said that the new offering enables complex data integration initiatives that support business intelligence, web analytics, database marketing, and other decision making processes across all major industries. It is designed for simple insertion into and interoperability with any existing job flow to accelerate data integration.
Harvey Tessler, senior vice president of strategic planning and product management at Syncsort, said: Through its unmatched extreme performance capabilities, DMExpress enables organisations to address these challenges and rethink the economics of their data by eliminating integration bottlenecks, capturing new revenue opportunities, and streamlining resource utilisation to dramatically reduce hardware investment.
