Fujitsu has expanded its government market portfolio to offer a broader set of capabilities, including infrastructure and application IT services, to help clients in North America reduce operating costs and improve operational efficiencies.
According to Fujitsu, the new datacentre options for government agencies include cloud computing, managed data centre services, and hosted offshore offerings based on Primergy server, Eternus storage and virtualisation systems.
The company said that it has increased 2009 revenue in the government sector to $75m and increased public sector revenue by 22% compounded annually for the last four years.
Fujitsu said that it offers a suite of services and associated infrastructure that can provide government agencies with a fast, low-risk and automated approach to migrate old legacy applications to the Microsoft ASP.NET and Azure platforms.
The partnership with Microsoft leverages products and services such as SQL Server and Progression legacy-system modernisation services to help government agencies, create agile, Microsoft ASP.NET IT foundations for incorporating existing application and data assets and adding new, modern ones that better serve current and future needs, Fujitsu said.
